Pilen - viewing platform Fehmarnbelt tunnel
Experience the Pilen – a 217-meter-long ramp offering a spectacular view of the world’s longest immersed tunnel.
The Pilen is a 217-meter-long ramp located near the tunnel's starting point, where future train and vehicle traffic will descend into the 18-kilometer-long connection to Puttgarden. The ramp rises to a peak 24 meters above the surrounding landscape, has exactly the same dimensions as a single tunnel element, and is accessible to all visitors all the way to the top.
This new viewpoint offers both locals and visitors a unique opportunity to observe the construction of the world's longest immersed tunnel. At the same time, it aims to inspire young people to pursue a skilled trade career by providing insights into the impressive engineering behind the project.
Visitors can climb the Pilen year-round and enjoy a breathtaking view from the top.
Additionally, the Femern Exhibition Center welcomes guests, where expert guides are ready to share insights about the Fehmarn Belt Tunnel. Through images, models, and films, visitors can gain a deeper understanding of the immense work behind this ambitious project.
