Elkenøre Beach
You may not have heard of Elkenøre, but if we say Marielyst, holiday homes and beach atmosphere on Falster, you're on the right track!
Elkenøre Strand is actually the northernmost part of the very long Marielyst beach. The beach is not just a lovely sandy beach in southern Falster, but one of the best in Denmark.
At Elkenøre beach you can enjoy the waves, wildlife, sun, surfers and flowers.
The beach offers endless opportunities for fantastic walks, so you can walk approx. 3 km south along the dike or the beach - whichever you prefer - and end up in lively Marielyst centre, with its many restaurants and shops.
If you head north, however, you'll enter the woods that belong to Corselitze Estate. Continuing through the forest you pass Halskov Vænge, Hesnæs Harbour and eventually end up in Stubbekøbing in northern Falster. In fact, it's the Berlin-Copenhagen cycle route you're following, so hop on your bike and make a trip out of it.
Elkenøre Strand is perfect if you want to enjoy beach life, go surfing or enjoy the beautiful nature along the coast of East Falster.
